Officially formed in July 2004 by incorporating the pervious Serial ATA
Working Group, the Serial ATA International Organization provides the industry
with support for implementing the Serial ATA specification. The standardized
Serial ATA specification leads to reduced development costs and ease of configuration,
thereby eliminating many of today's requirements for jumpers and settings.
Members of the Serial ATA International Organization
have the ability to influence or directly contribute to the development of
